1962 Corvette " All Weather", Roadster that I punched in 1966 after getting out of the Air Force. It now has 337,000+ miles on the original 327 cubic inch , fuel injected, 360 horse power block, ( sleeve in number seven cylinder), a five speed transmission with 0.64 overdrive, 4.11:1 posi rear gears, big 62 racing fined break drums, 255x60-15 BFG tires on American, color painted, Mags, 11.5 to 1 compression ratio, Nostalgia 30.30 Comp. cam., 2.02 X 1.64 valves, roller tip rockers, 600 cfm Edelbrock carburetor on an Offenhouser duel-port, 360 degree aluminum intake manifold, Mallory Unilit ign., Hedmen long tube headers. Now putting out close to 400 horse power, same as the 05, LS2 engine. Getting 23.5 miles to the gallon of fuel, in the flat lands, not quite what the C6 gets on mileage.

Between the two, 62-05 Corvettes, there are many firsts, same, and lasts. I call the "owner mix" color, Plum/ Pearl, with Black overspray in the coves and Gold pin stripping that matches the rare early original Gold grill.

Danny Fields

Danny Fields purchased this 1977 Corvette Coupe T-top, three years ago as a High School project. He installed a GM 350 cubic inch, 300 horse power create engine, an after market Edelbrock aluminum manifold, 600 cfm Edelbrock carburator, polished Edelbrock valve covers, rebuilt the Turbo Hydro-matic 350 transmission, replaced all the exhaust system, and is now rebuilding the differential. He has also had the Corvette repainted from the Dark Red, stock color, with the" RED-EST" RED you can get. ( Dodge Viper and Toyota, have the same paint numbers.)

YES !!!, He received a passing grade on his class project, with flying colors.

Ray's Galley

This is a 1961 Corvette owned by Ray Scavino, from Ukiah, CA. He bought his "Jewel Blue" Corvette in Oakland from Val Stroll Chevrolet in September 1961. There is 266,000 miles on the odometer. He is in the Mid America "High mileage Club". "BELTA" in Italian, means "BEAUTY"

He wanted it without a white cove, it had the base 283ci. single four barrel carburetor engine, with a 3:36.! posi. rear gear ratio, soft top delete, with a removable hard top, a four speed T-10 transmission, wonder-bar AM radio, heater/defroster,whitewall tires, and sun visors.

Last year the 61 received a "numbers" soft top and hardware install.

Ray's Corvette had undergone a complete refurbishment two years ago. Looks, and drives almost like new today. He places first in some of the WSCC car shows most of the time and does well in "All car shows" also. Ray is a member of the "Corvettes of Lake County", a long time member of The "Solid Axle Corvette Club", and a member of the National Corvette Museum.
